Sunday School
Sunday School will commence THIS Sunday, September 22, on a trial basis for six weeks. Rev. Smaller has kindly offered to create the material for this endeavour. What we need from the congregation is 12 volunteers, 2 per Sunday, one to lead and another to assist. A modest ask. If one of those persons was willing to organize the roster and to look ahead in concert with Christine that would be a giant step forward. THANK YOU
A heartfelt thank you to the Annesley Congregation. Without your continuing support, events like the Markdale Recereation Committee and Splash Pad BBQ and Pancake breakfast would not be as successful. Special shout out to the Annesley members who helped with and attended the 175th Markdale Jubilee Beef on a Bun.

The Great Emergence by Phyllis Tickle.
Rooted in the observation that massive transitions in the church happen about every 500 years, Phyllis Tickle shows readers that we live in such a time right now. She compares the Great Emergence to other “Greats” in the history of Christianity, including the Great Transformation (when God walked among us), Anyone who is interested in the future of the church in Canada, no matter what their personal affiliation, will find this book a fascinating exploration.
