The Annesley Board needs YOU!!!

This year, the Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday March 16. In the coming weeks it is our hope that some folks may express an interest in joining our Official Board. Notably, this can be as a voting member, or as a support, “ex officio” person.  Meetings are monthly, usually in person. We seem to be transitioning to daytime gathering. As with so many aspects at Annesley, we strive to be flexible. The work is challenging, but we are  pursuing some new directions, while mindful of time honoured traditions. This is also an opportune time to remind people that our monthly meetings are open to all.  If you have ANY questions, please contact John Lewis (519-379-1685).

Needed for Youth Activities

Della G. has generously provided Annesley with a ping-pong table and an indoor putting game, to be used for youth activities. We need a couple of putters (preferably short ones) for the putting game. If anyone has a putter in a set of old golf clubs that they no longer use, please bring it to the office. Thank you, and thank you to Della for providing activities for the youth.

The Great Emergence by Phyllis Tickle.

Rooted in the observation that massive transitions in the church happen about every 500 years, Phyllis Tickle shows readers that we live in such a time right now. She compares the Great Emergence to other “Greats” in the history of Christianity, including the Great Transformation (when God walked among us), Anyone who is interested in the future of the church in Canada, no matter what their personal affiliation, will find this book a fascinating exploration.
